After nearly three decades advising on real estate, the most valuable thing I can pass on isn’t a deal. It’s a way of deciding.
I have spent close to thirty years in valuation, investment analysis and cross-border practice — from single assets to portfolios, across Europe, the Middle East and beyond. People often ask for the tip: the market to watch, the deal to take. I understand the instinct, but it has always felt like the wrong question. The tip is worth something once. The way you reached it is worth something every time.
Tips expire; method compounds
Markets turn. Cycles reverse, rules change, and the advice that was obviously right last year quietly becomes the reason someone is stuck this year. What does not expire is the discipline of deciding well — reading structure over sentiment, pricing the risks you cannot see, and knowing the difference between a thesis and a hope. That discipline is portable across markets and durable across cycles. It is the one thing worth teaching.
Education, not advice
This is a deliberate distinction, and the Academy is built around it. We do not tell you which asset to buy. We teach you to reach your own calls — and to defend them. Advice makes you dependent on the adviser. Education makes you capable on your own. For someone deploying real capital, often in markets they do not live in, that independence is not a nicety. It is the whole point.
The tip is worth something once. The way you reached it is worth something every time.
The same standards, taught openly
The standards that guide professional practice — clarity of method, honesty about limits, respect for the decision the client actually has to make — are the same standards that shape how we teach. Nothing is dressed up as certainty. Where a method has boundaries, we say so. An academy, done properly, is simply professional practice made teachable, without the mystique.
Built for people deciding across borders
The Academy is made in Lisbon and taught across borders, because that reflects how real estate is actually invested today — by people evaluating opportunities in places they cannot watch every day. If that is you, the courses are designed to give you the framework I use in practice, so you can look at the same information as everyone else and reach a better, more defensible decision.
That, in the end, is why a real-estate house built an academy. It is the most honest form the knowledge could take.

Education, not advice. The Academy provides general, methodological real-estate investment education. It is not personalised investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation on any specific asset or transaction.
